Visakhapatnam Gears Up for International Fleet Review 2026

The district administration, in partnership with the Indian Navy, will host the International Fleet Review (IFR) 2026 from February 15 to 20, officials announced.

During a recent review meeting, District Collector M N Harendhira Prasad and senior officials discussed event preparations, including dignitary visits, logistics, and city readiness. Commodore Amy Mathew mentioned that delegates from around 100 countries are expected, emphasizing the need for coordinated transportation, accommodations, and city management.

Key highlights of the event include:

  1. Milan Village activities: February 15–20
  2. International Fleet Review under the President’s patronage: February 18
  3. City parade and Milan Village inauguration: February 19
  4. Milan Harbour activities: February 19–20
  5. Sea Phase: February 21–25

Authorities are fast-tracking road work from Convent Junction to Maruti Junction, along Naval and Harbour Faces, and improving traffic, parking, sanitation, and city beautification. Collector Prasad urged timely completion of projects by NHAI, GAIL, HPCL, and others while ensuring strict security measures.

Officials from the Navy, police, and multiple government departments attended the meeting to coordinate the massive event.
