Social Welfare Minister and District In-charge Minister Dola Sri Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy has said that the partnership summit on November 14 and 15 will be a landmark event for the State. Speaking during a review of preparations, he said the event will boost economic growth and support regional development.
He noted that the State’s leadership, including the Chief Minister, IT Minister, and other cabinet members, has visited several countries to meet industrialists and attract investment. The summit will host participants from more than 40 nations, with hundreds of business delegates and dignitaries expected to attend.
“We are committed to making the summit a success. It is expected to bring investments worth Rs 9.8 lakh crore and create jobs for 7.5 lakh youth. This is part of a larger goal to generate 20 lakh jobs, half of which are already secured,” the Minister said. He added that 410 agreements are likely to be signed, with projects valued at Rs 2.7 lakh crore ready for launch.
The event, to be held at the AU Engineering College grounds, will also include the laying of foundation stones for major infrastructure schemes. These initiatives aim to position Visakhapatnam as a key financial hub. The Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to building a commercial centre that supports long-term growth and opportunities for young people.
During the review, District Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad presented a detailed plan covering the venue layout and logistics. He was joined by local MLAs, the Mayor, former MLC Duvvarapu Rama Rao, and other senior officials.
The summit is expected to draw international attention and deliver economic and employment benefits to the State. Preparations continue as authorities move forward with plans to transform the region’s economy.
