Visakhapatnam races to get ready for CII Partnership Summit
With the International CII Partnership Summit 2025 just weeks away, GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg on Saturday urged officials to speed up city beautification and development work. The summit will host business leaders and policymakers from across India and is expected to put Visakhapatnam in the national spotlight.
The Commissioner visited ongoing projects across Zones 3, 4, 5, and 8. Key locations included the Telugu Thalli Flyover, Thatichetlapalem, Urvashi Junction, NAD Flyover, and the route to the Airport. He also checked preparations at the main summit venue, Andhra University Grounds. Additional Commissioner S.S. Varma, GVMC engineering officials, and representatives of the Andhra Pradesh Green Urban Corporation accompanied him.
During the inspection, Mr. Garg emphasized completing road dividers, medians, footpaths, road repairs, street lighting, plantations, and painting work on major city routes. He instructed officials to trim medians uniformly, prune overgrown branches, and replace withered plants to enhance the city’s appearance.
At the Andhra University Grounds helipad, the Commissioner reviewed ongoing painting and beautification work. He stressed maintaining high-quality standards and completing all work well before the summit.
Superintending Engineer K. Srinivasa Rao and Executive Engineers Tara Prasanna and Dileep, along with other senior GVMC officials, participated in the inspection.
