VMRDA unveils ‘Emerald Layout’ in city
VMRDA chairman M.V. Pranav Gopal, along with Pendurthi MLA Panchakarla Ramesh Babu and Metropolitan Commissioner N. Tej Bharat, on Thursday inaugurated the ‘Emerald Layout’ at Chinamushidiwada, strengthening planned urban growth in the city.
The layout spreads across 4.70 acres and offers 77 residential plots. It was developed at a cost of ₹3 crore. It includes CC roads, underground drainage, water supply, electricity with street lighting, and landscaped greenery.
Officials said the project addresses the rising demand for organised housing. Moreover, they confirmed plans to release nearly 1,000 more residential plots this year through new layouts.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Pranav Gopal stressed the government’s focus on making plots accessible to all sections. He also said Visakhapatnam and North Andhra are witnessing rapid and structured growth.
He further added that buyers gain strong security when they invest in VMRDA-approved layouts. As a result, such projects continue to attract steady interest from homebuyers.
Meanwhile, Metropolitan Commissioner N. Tej Bharat highlighted the authority’s expansion across multiple locations. He listed areas such as Ramavaram, Gidijala, Palavalasa, Tunivalasa, Bheemili (Annavaram), GS Agraharam, Raghumanda, Jiyyannavalasa, and Garividi.
He said these developments aim to create well-planned residential zones with reliable civic infrastructure. Additionally, they will support the city’s future growth.
Residents and officials attended the inauguration.
