Sainik School Korukonda Sets National Benchmark with 54 NDA, INA Selections
Sainik School Korukonda has made Andhra Pradesh proud by achieving outstanding results in the UPSC National Defence Academy (NDA) and Indian Naval Academy (INA) written exams. This year, 54 cadets cleared the highly competitive tests, a huge jump from 19 last year.
From the current batch, 40 of 71 Class 12 cadets, or 56.33 percent, qualified. This is the highest success rate among all Sainik Schools in India. Another 14 cadets from the previous batch also cleared the exam, bringing the total to 54.
Principal Group Captain S. S. Shastri praised the cadets for their hard work and focus. “Their success reflects the values and spirit of Sainik School Korukonda,” he said. “These cadets show the discipline, leadership, and dedication we aim to instill in every student.”
He also acknowledged the training team, led by Wing Commander Kiran V. “Their coaching, planning, and guidance helped the cadets face one of the toughest exams in the country,” he added.
Experts say this consistent performance is rare. The school’s structured curriculum balances academics, physical training, and leadership skills. It prepares students not just for exams but also for life in the defence forces.
The school’s success inspires the next batch of cadets to aim high. It also highlights Andhra Pradesh’s contribution to producing future leaders for the nation. This year’s achievement shows the power of discipline, preparation, and resilience in reaching national-level success.
