Vizag Poised for Big Investments at CII Partnership Summit

Visakhapatnam will host the CII Partnership Summit on November 14 and 15. The event returns after a seven-year gap. The State government expects strong participation, following a global campaign to promote Brand Andhra Pradesh.

The summit comes as Andhra Pradesh unveils a $2.4 trillion economic roadmap under Vision 2047. The State is positioning Visakhapatnam as a major investment hub. Google recently signed an MoU to invest $15 billion in a multi-location AI data centre.

This year marks the 30th edition. The theme is: “Technology, Trust and Trade: Navigating the New Geo-Economic Order.” The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing the event nationally.

State Ministers and officials held roadshows in London, Dubai, Singapore, Sydney, and Melbourne. They highlighted opportunities in AI, port-led development, renewable energy, petrochemicals, tourism, real estate, defence, aviation, and food processing.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Industries Minister T.G. Bharat met investors in the UAE. IT and Industries Minister Nara Lokesh led delegations in London and Australia. They focused on faster business processes and emerging sectors like quantum computing, semiconductors, space tech, drones, medtech, and advanced manufacturing.

Mr. Naidu has asked CII to back the State’s growth plans under Swarnandhra Vision 2047. CII Andhra Pradesh Chairman Gannamani Murali Krishna said the momentum shows the State’s commitment to a world-class business ecosystem.

At a curtain-raiser in New Delhi, Mr. Naidu and Union Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted the State’s long coastline, industrial corridors, skilled workforce, and strategic logistics and deep tech positioning.

The State government is finalizing sector-focused sessions and business facilitation forums. Visakhapatnam is preparing to host a summit that could reshape the region’s investment landscape.
