AP Secures Rs 7.14 Lakh Crore Investment at CII Summit day one

Andhra Pradesh secured investments worth Rs 3,49,476 crore on the first day of the two-day CII Partnership Summit, signing MoUs with 40 companies, the state government said. This comes on the heels of agreements with 35 companies signed on November 13, 2025, valued at Rs 3,65,304 crore, taking the total investments to Rs 7,14,780 crore even before the summit officially began. The deals are expected to generate employment for over 5.42 lakh people.

In a major development, Lulu International Group inked an MoU for a Rs 1,066-crore investment to set up a new Lulu Mall in Visakhapatnam along with food processing units. The agreement was signed in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Lulu Group Chairman M.D. Yousuf Ali.

Mr. Yousuf Ali said exports of mango, guava pulp, and spices would commence from January, while a logistics and procurement export centre is planned in Rayalaseema. Chief Minister Naidu urged the group to procure agricultural produce locally, highlighting the mall’s potential to boost both retail and tourism in the city.

The Singapore government also signed an MoU with Andhra Pradesh on urban governance, digital transformation, and sustainability. The agreement was witnessed by Chief Minister Naidu, IT & HRD Minister Nara Lokesh, Singapore Minister Gan Siow Huang, Union Minister K. Rammohan Naidu, and Minister Nadendla Manohar.

Chief Minister Naidu emphasized the state’s interest in partnering with Singapore, which has developed industries through innovative policies. Minister Lokesh termed the MoU a “good beginning” for bilateral collaboration, while Union Minister Rammohan Naidu announced plans for thrice-weekly flights between Vijayawada and Singapore to strengthen trade and connectivity.
