SP inspects arrangements for Arasavilli Ratha Saptami
Superintendent of Police K.V. Maheshwara Reddy, on Thursday conducted a field inspection of arrangements being made for the Arasavilli Ratha Saptami festival to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct without inconvenience to devotees.
Along with officials from various departments, the SP reviewed traffic regulation, vehicle parking, diversion plans, and the proposed locations for prasadam sale counters in and around the temple area. Parking facilities and traffic flow were inspected along the 80-feet road, Mill Junction, Ayyala main road, and other important routes.
Mr. Reddy examined access routes for devotees, parking areas, VIP movement corridors, and crowd management measures. He instructed officials to take effective steps to control congestion and ensure orderly movement, especially during peak hours.
He also reviewed arrangements being made for devotee convenience, including queue line management, designated places for keeping footwear, and facilities near the temple premises. Stressing the importance of proper planning, the SP directed officials to ensure that all arrangements are executed in a coordinated manner to prevent overcrowding.
The SP asked traffic police to regulate vehicle entry on major roads, divert traffic wherever necessary, and install clear signboards at parking locations. Separate routes were to be earmarked for emergency service vehicles. He also directed continuous monitoring through CCTV cameras and drone surveillance to keep track of traffic and crowd conditions.
Police personnel were instructed to remain alert and provide necessary guidance to devotees during the festival.
The inspection was attended by Srikakulam RDO Sai Pratyusha, Town DSP Vivekananda, Municipal MHO Sudheer, Circle Inspectors from rural and town limits, traffic and CCS officials, and representatives from the revenue, temple, and municipal departments.
