Pranav Gopal appointed TDP State Executive Secretary
VMRDA Chairman M.V. Pranav Gopal has been appointed as the State Executive Secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), marking a key organisational responsibility within the party’s state structure.
According to party sources, the decision is part of a broader effort to strengthen the party’s organisational network and bring in leaders with prior experience in student and grassroots politics.
Mr. Pranav Gopal began his political journey through the TDP Students’ Wing, where he served as the State President during his academic years. In that role, he was actively involved in raising issues related to students and contributing to party activities across the State. His work during this period is said to have helped him build a strong connection with the party cadre.
Following the formation of the coalition government, he was appointed Chairman of the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA), a position he continues to hold. His administrative role in urban development and planning has kept him closely associated with governance responsibilities in the Visakhapatnam region.
With his induction as State Executive Secretary, Mr. Pranav Gopal now takes on a wider organisational role within the party’s state committee. Party leaders and cadre have welcomed the move, describing it as a recognition of his long-standing association with the organisation.
Expressing gratitude on the occasion, Mr. Pranav Gopal thanked TDP national president and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, national working president and IT Minister Nara Lokesh, State TDP president and Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao, Visakhapatnam MP M. Sribharat, East constituency MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu, along with district leaders, public representatives, and party cadres for their confidence and support.
He said he would continue to work with dedication to further strengthen the party at the organisational level and contribute to its growth across the State.
