Andhra Pradesh woos Korean investors at Seoul roadshow
The Andhra Pradesh government made a strong pitch to South Korean businesses, highlighting the State’s vast investment opportunities across key sectors during a special interactive session and the 31st CII Partnership Summit 2026 Korea Roadshow held in Seoul on Friday.
The event served as a platform to strengthen economic ties and attract Korean investments ahead of the CII Partnership Summit scheduled to be held in Visakhapatnam later this year.
The event, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with the State government, brought together representatives of the Andhra Pradesh government, the Indian Embassy in Seoul, South Korean government agencies, Invest KOREA, KOTRA, and industry to explore opportunities for trade, investment, and technology collaboration.
Addressing the gathering, Minister for Human Resource Development, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, and Real Time Governance Society (RTGS), Nara Lokesh, said Andhra Pradesh was focusing on industrial growth, technology-driven governance, and employment generation.
Inviting Korean companies to invest in the State, he highlighted opportunities in electronics, information technology, semiconductors, automobiles, electric vehicles, renewable energy, food processing, ports, logistics, and advanced manufacturing, citing Andhra Pradesh’s industrial infrastructure, skilled workforce, and port connectivity.
Indian Ambassador to South Korea Gourangalal Das said stronger engagement at the State level could deepen economic ties between India and South Korea. Lee Min-Kyong, Director-General of the Asian and Pacific Affairs Bureau in South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, underscored the need for closer economic cooperation.
Invest KOREA Commissioner Kim Tae Hyung highlighted opportunities for collaboration between Korean companies and Indian States, including Andhra Pradesh, while CII Andhra Pradesh Chairman S. Narendra Kumar said the State and South Korea had complementary strengths and reaffirmed CII’s commitment to promoting investment partnerships.
Bhaskar Katamneni, Secretary, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Department, outlined Andhra Pradesh’s investment potential, highlighting its infrastructure, digital ecosystem, logistics network, and skilled workforce.
The roadshow also promoted the 31st CII Partnership Summit 2026, to be held in Visakhapatnam on November 12 and 13. More than 120 representatives from government, industry, and investment promotion agencies attended the event.
