The clinic, which integrates neurology, neurosurgery, and interventional radiology under a protocol-driven, multidisciplinary framework, has been established in response to a discernible increase in lifestyle-related neurological complaints, particularly among working-age adults.
Medical professionals associated with the initiative observed that conditions such as migraine and tension-type headaches have registered a marked rise among young professionals, attributing the trend to occupational stress, disrupted sleep patterns, excessive screen time, and increasingly sedentary daily routines.
A senior consultant neurologist at the hospital said the clinic’s primary objective was the early identification of headache triggers, rather than symptomatic pain relief alone. “Most patients tend to self-medicate for months or even years before seeking specialist care. Our focus is to evaluate the root cause, classify the headache type accurately, and create a personalised treatment plan that reduces recurrence and improves quality of life,” the specialist said.
A neurosurgery expert attached to the clinic cautioned that while the overwhelming majority of headache presentations were benign in nature, a subset could be indicative of serious underlying neurological pathology warranting timely clinical intervention. “The challenge is to identify warning signs early. A structured clinic model helps ensure that patients who need advanced imaging or surgical evaluation are not delayed in the diagnostic pathway,” the doctor noted.
