Pawan Kalyan orders grand Godavari Pushkaralu in 2027

Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh said Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has directed officials to organise Godavari Pushkaralu 2027 on a grand scale without causing inconvenience to devotees.

After a review meeting at the Deputy Chief Minister’s camp office in Mangalagiri, Mr Durgesh said they discussed several issues. These included development works in Nidadavole constituency under the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development departments. He added that the Deputy CM also issued key directions for the festival.

The festival will be held from June 26 to July 7, 2027, on the lines of the Kumbh Mela. As it takes place once every 12 years, the government expects nearly 100 million devotees. It is giving top priority to their safety and convenience.

Mr Durgesh said work to modernise ghats in Rajamahendravaram and other Godavari basin areas has already begun. Officials are planning drinking water, sanitation, and rest facilities for pilgrims. The Deputy CM has asked them to ensure strong security and prepare a traffic plan to prevent congestion.

The minister said officials will use technology for crowd control and real-time monitoring during the festival.

He added that Mr Pawan Kalyan will soon hold a high-level review meeting in Rajamahendravaram. Alliance leaders, public representatives, and officials will attend it. They will review the progress of work and address ground-level challenges. Important decisions are likely to be made during the meeting.

Mr Durgesh said the government aims to conduct the Pushkaralu in a way that enhances Andhra Pradesh’s prestige and reflects spiritual grandeur under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.

He also briefed the Deputy CM on rural development and Panchayat Raj works in Nidadavole constituency. He thanked him for supporting the region’s progress.
