TDP MLA seeks jobs, skill training for tribal youth at Davos

Parvatipuram TDP MLA Bonela Vijaya Chandra met Telangana Minister for Information Technology Duddilla Sridhar Babu on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, on Wednesday, and sought support for skill training and employment opportunities for tribal youth and other students from Parvatipuram-Manyam district.

According to a press release, the MLA explained the need for structured training programmes in tribal areas to improve employability among rural and underprivileged youth. Responding to the request, Mr. Sridhar Babu reportedly assured him that the Telangana government would extend cooperation and facilitate skill development initiatives aimed at youth in tribal belts.

During his visit to the economic conclave, Mr. Vijaya Chandra also interacted with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, besides holding discussions with other political leaders and delegates.

The MLA said there was growing interest among entrepreneurs in exploring investment options in Parvatipuram-Manyam district. Highlighting the district’s potential, he noted that the region offered ample scope for agro-based industries, food processing units, and allied sectors, which could generate local employment and strengthen rural incomes. He stressed that improving skills among local youth would help the district tap these opportunities and accelerate development in the coming years.
