Three new police stations inaugurated in Anakapalli district

Home Minister V. Anitha, accompanied by Andhra Pradesh Speaker Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu inaugurated three newly constructed police station buildings at Natavaram, KD Peta, and Golugonda under the Narsipatnam sub-division in Anakapalli district on Tuesday.

Visakha Range Inspector General of Police Gopinath Jatti and Superintendent of Police Tuhin Sinha were also present.

According to district police officials, each station was constructed at a cost of ₹2.5 crore under the Special Infrastructure Scheme (SIS), under the supervision of the Andhra Pradesh Police Housing Corporation. The buildings have been equipped with CCTV surveillance systems, counselling rooms, separate restrooms for women police personnel, and other essential facilities for staff engaged in bandobust and operational duties.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ayyanna Patrudu said the State government was giving top priority to public safety by strengthening and modernising the policing system. He also directed officials to maintain strict vigil against illegal ganja transportation in the district.

Ms Anitha said the government was focusing on improving infrastructure to ensure prompt and efficient public services. Reiterating its commitment to making Andhra Pradesh a ganja-free State, she urged youth to stay away from narcotic substances and warned that involvement in such activities could seriously affect their future.

Mr Jatti and Mr Sinha said the new police station buildings would improve the efficiency of police personnel and help deliver faster services to the public.

Additional SP L. Mohan Rao, Anakapalli sub-division DSP M. Sravani, Narsipatnam DSP P. Srinivasa Rao, Rural CI L. Revatamma, and other officials were present.
