VIIT seminar focuses on innovation and entrepreneurship

A seminar titled “Next Gen Innovators – From Ideas to Industry” was held at Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology (VIIT), Duvvada, to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among students.

Organised by the Shavishkar and Srujana Technical Cell, Andhra Pradesh, in association with VIIT’s CESE–Data Science Department, the programme featured Anne Krishna Balaji, Managing Partner of Lalitha Metals (1976), as the chief speaker.

VIIT seminar focuses on innovation and entrepreneurship

Mr. Balaji shared his industry experience and spoke on skill development, innovation and the need to understand market requirements. He urged students to identify real-world problems and turn their ideas into practical solutions, products, services and business opportunities.

The session also familiarised students with industry challenges and the journey of taking an innovative idea from concept to application.

VIIT Principal J. Sudhakar said that industry interaction and practical exposure were essential for developing creativity and entrepreneurial skills among students.

Rector V. Madhusudhana Rao, CESE–Data Science Head Y. Salini, VCIS Head A. Sampath Dakshinamurthy and Dean of Industry Relations Ch. Rohini Kumar stressed the need for closer industry-academia collaboration to give students practical learning and opportunities to interact with professionals.

The programme was coordinated by V. Trinath, Senior Assistant Professor, CESE–Data Science Department.
