Visakhapatnam Gears Up for Global CII Partnership Summit 2025

Visakhapatnam is getting a major upgrade as the city readies itself to host the CII Partnership Summit 2025. New roads, bright murals, and landscaped green spaces are giving the city a cleaner and more attractive look ahead of the global event.

City officials are pushing to finish key infrastructure projects before the summit. They are widening and resurfacing major roads and relaying damaged stretches with fresh blacktop. Workers are repairing footpaths to improve pedestrian safety and repainting dividers and boundary walls to bring order and color to the streets.

The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) is focusing on greenery and beautification. Teams are planting flowering shrubs, trimming trees, and arranging potted plants along main roads. Work is progressing on 17 major roads. Local artists are painting large murals on public walls at a cost of ₹74 lakh, adding energy and art to city spaces.

Suresh Kumar, Principal Secretary of Municipal Administration and Urban Development, is leading the review team and tracking progress on-site. District Collector M. N. Harendhira Prasad has instructed departments to ensure a smooth visit for all delegates. GVMC is also improving parks, beaches, and tourist spots to highlight the city’s coastal charm.

The 30th CII Partnership Summit will take place on November 14 and 15 with the theme “Technology, Trust and Trade: Navigating the Geo-Economic Order.” Over 3,000 delegates from India and abroad will attend. The city aims to showcase itself as a rising hub for business, technology, and sustainable development.
