Collector urges awareness drive on GST 2.0 reforms
District Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad has instructed officials to enhance grassroots awareness about the benefits of the GST 2.0 reforms. He emphasized the importance of involving public representatives and recommended conducting door-to-door campaigns to effectively reach citizens. Women from the DRDA and UCD have been assigned to actively participate in these outreach efforts.
The Collector highlighted the promotion of “Super GST” and “Super Savings” and called for initiatives to clarify past price discrepancies. Other key programs under discussion included PM Suryagarh, P-4 Mapping, the registration status of guides, rice card distribution, and greetings to mothers. The meeting also covered management of the work-from-home dashboard, Aadhaar seeding, e-KYC, pending applications on the AP Seva Portal, and monitoring the performance of secretariat staff during a Webex meeting on Wednesday evening.
Mr. Harendhira Prasad instructed Zonal Commissioners and MPDOs to fully utilize the services of secretariat staff and to report any instances of non-compliance directly to him. He urged mentors to engage with “gold families” under P-4 initiatives, with activities set to begin immediately, and suggested seeking support from NRIs when necessary.
The Collector emphasized the importance of updating work-from-home records, ensuring smooth management of Aadhaar seeding and e-KYC processes, and improving overall outcomes. He also called for surprise inspections, strict adherence to time management, and appropriate action against staff who fail to comply.
