CM Naidu Holds Talks with Global Investors and Diplomats

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday held a series of high-level meetings with global industry leaders and foreign envoys to discuss investment opportunities, defence initiatives, and industrial development in Andhra Pradesh.

Vice Admiral Sanjay Bhalla, Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command, called on the Chief Minister to review defence sector collaborations.

During the meeting, Naidu highlighted the role of startups and investments in shipbuilding, emphasized promoting indigenous shipbuilding, and stressed providing technical support to the shipping industry. He also proposed establishing a naval museum in Visakhapatnam to raise public awareness about naval operations and assured full cooperation from the state government for all naval initiatives.

A Taiwan delegation, led by Mumin Chen, expressed interest in setting up an Indo-Taiwan Industrial Park in Kuppam with an investment of Rs 400 crore. Naidu briefed the delegation on opportunities in electronics, semiconductors, green energy, electric vehicles, and EV batteries.

The Pouchen Group plans a footwear manufacturing unit in Kuppam, Creative Sensors Ink intends to set up an image sensor facility in Orvakal, and E Soul India has proposed a $2.2 billion advanced battery manufacturing unit at Orvakal. The delegation signed an MoU with the state government in the Chief Minister’s presence. Naidu assured support for connectivity to the industrial parks and requested the establishment of a skill development centre. He also noted that the central government would announce incentives for the semiconductor sector.

Italian Ambassador Antonio Henrico Bartoli also met the Chief Minister to explore investment prospects in Andhra Pradesh. Naidu highlighted opportunities in automotive, auto components, machinery, fashion, and food processing, and encouraged Italian companies to invest in agritech, renewable energy, and shipbuilding. Discussions further included the possibility of establishing an Italian industrial cluster in the state.
