APGEA launches monthly Employee Grievance Program
The Andhra Pradesh Government Employees Association (APGEA), Visakhapatnam district unit, has launched a first-of-its-kind initiative to address government employees’ grievances directly and efficiently. The “Employees Grievance Program” will be held on the first and third Wednesdays of every month, starting this April.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, District President D. Rajashekar Reddy said employees across departments face multiple issues, including incomplete Service Register entries, errors in seniority lists, discrepancies in roster points, pay fixation mistakes, missing increments, irregularities in leave accounts, and delays in APGLI and time-bound promotions.
He added that service verification, GPF/CPS nominee details, and mismatches between HRMS and manual SR records have further delayed promotions and salary settlements.
Mr. Rajashekar Reddy said the programme is intended to provide a structured and transparent mechanism for resolving grievances and could serve as a model for the state. District Secretary M. Srinivasa Rao urged employees to report concerns freely, while City President Jaitu Ravindranath assured effective implementation at the city level.
The inaugural session was attended by District Women’s Wing President G. Sunitha, State Women’s Wing Vice President K. Shanthi, and other district and city leaders, who expressed support for the initiative.
The association said the programme would strengthen communication between employees and leadership and urged all employees to make full use of the platform to resolve service-related issues.
