Young professionals urged to improve public service delivery

District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore on Tuesday said that Young Professionals attached to the Constituency Vision Action Plan Units should play a key role in improving the quality of government services, enhancing public satisfaction, and helping the district achieve its development targets for 2026–27.

Chairing a review meeting at the Collectorate with Young Professionals and officials concerned, the Collector assessed the performance of various departments based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), public feedback surveys, and service delivery standards.

He directed officials to collect feedback from citizens on government services continuously and take corrective measures to improve service quality. In his review of the Vision Action Plan initiatives across the district, Mr. Kishore stressed the need to focus on employment generation, expansion of public services, coordination with special officers, and effective dissemination of information on development programmes.

The Collector also emphasised the need to strengthen the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) and ensure timely disposal of complaints. Prompt resolution of public grievances would enhance public confidence in the administration, he said.

As part of the P-4 programme, Mr. Kishore called for expediting community development initiatives in rural areas and providing direct support to beneficiaries through social responsibility activities. He instructed the Vision Units to coordinate closely with village and ward secretariats for effective implementation of government programmes.

Stating that transparent, accountable and people-centric governance continues to be the government’s primary objective, the Collector said the Vision Units should align their activities accordingly.

Joint Collector Gobbilla Vidhyadhari, CPO Srinivasa Rao, PGRS Nodal Officer T. Govindu, members of the Vision Action Plan Units from the district’s seven Assembly constituencies and other officials participated in the meeting.
