Blood donation camp at Bullayya College collects 180 units

A blood donation camp jointly organised by Round Table India and Rotary Blood Bank, in association with Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya College, collected 180 units of blood from students and staff.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from the college community, with students and staff coming forward to contribute to the humanitarian initiative. The organisers said the programme was aimed at encouraging young people to understand the importance of voluntary blood donation and its role in supporting patients in need.

Area chairman Anirudh Sompalli appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the college community and said such initiatives demonstrated the spirit of social responsibility among youngsters.

“Such initiatives reflect the spirit of social responsibility among the younger generation and inspire more people to come forward for a noble cause,” he said.

The camp also focused on sensitising students to the importance of blood donation and its crucial role in saving lives during surgeries, trauma care and unforeseen medical emergencies. The awareness component sought to highlight how timely availability of blood can provide vital support to patients during critical situations.

Area AST Lokeshwar Reddy, VART 305 chairman Ajit Gudimetla and VALC 174 chairperson Sweta Singal attended the programme along with the college principals, vice-principals and faculty members.

The presence of the college management and faculty members added support to the initiative and encouraged students to actively participate in the blood donation drive.

The organisers expressed their gratitude to the college management, students and staff for their cooperation and participation, which contributed to the smooth conduct of the humanitarian initiative.
