The Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry Federation (AP Chambers) on Monday hosted a Malaysian business delegation to explore opportunities for enhancing bilateral trade, investment and industrial cooperation between Andhra Pradesh and Malaysia.

The delegation, led by Malaysian Consul General to South India Saravana Kumar Kumaravasagam, held discussions with AP Chambers representatives on investment prospects in sectors such as ports and logistics, manufacturing, food processing, aquaculture, electronics, renewable energy, healthcare, digital infrastructure and tourism.

AP Chambers president Potluri Bhaskara Rao said Andhra Pradesh had attracted nearly $23 billion in investments over the past 18 months and invited Malaysian companies to explore opportunities in palm oil processing, manufacturing, electronics and logistics.

The discussions also focused on expanding cooperation in processed foods, marine products, semiconductors, electric vehicles and renewable energy. Participants noted that Malaysia could serve as a gateway to ASEAN markets, while Andhra Pradesh offered significant opportunities for manufacturing and exports.

The meeting, facilitated by the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (AP EDB), concluded with an agreement to promote buyer-seller meets, business delegations and institutional collaborations to strengthen trade and investment ties.
