CSR-Funded healthcare Facilities Opened at Anakapalli Hospital
Anakapalli MP C. M. Ramesh on Monday inaugurated a Patient Waiting Hall, Baby Feeding Room, and De-Addiction and Rehabilitation Centre at the NTR District Hospital in Anakapalli.
The facilities were established at a cost of ₹1.50 crore through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding provided by RHI Magnesita India Limited. An RO Water Plant set up with ₹6 lakh from the MP Local Area Development funds for 2025-26 was also inaugurated.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ramesh said CSR funds were being utilised to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and improve public amenities in the district. He appreciated the company management for completing the construction works within 80 days against the scheduled six-month timeline.
Referring to the lack of MRI scan facilities at the hospital, he said efforts were underway to mobilise ₹5 crore to ₹6 crore for establishing an advanced MRI scanning unit.
District Collector Vijaya Krishnan said the government was focusing on improving facilities in government hospitals and noted that the newly created amenities would benefit patients and attendants.
MLA Konathala Ramakrishna, SP Tuhin Sinha, Urban Finance Corporation Chairman Peela Govinda Satyanarayana, RHI Magnesita CEO Abhishek Sharma, and senior officials were present.
