APEPDCL Partners with FluentGrid and CCF to Drive Energy Transition
Andhra Pradesh Eastern Region Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL) has partnered with FluentGrid and the Climate Collective Foundation (CCF) under the Centre of Excellence for Energy Transition (CoEET). The collaboration aims to modernize and decarbonize the state’s power network.
CoEET, supported by the Andhra Pradesh government, encourages innovation and advanced energy solutions. A key part of this partnership is the Electron Vibe program. CCF will roll out the program across the state, with APEPDCL as the lead partner. The program focuses on helping startups create solutions for a more efficient, resilient, and low-carbon power system.
“Electron Vibe will encourage startups to contribute directly to the energy transition and help position Andhra Pradesh as a national leader in renewable energy,” said C&D Prithvi Tej Immadi, APEPDCL.
The CoEET Smart Grid Lab will act as a testing ground for AI-driven solutions. These solutions aim to improve efficiency and make the power network more resilient. The lab will also support knowledge sharing, international collaborations, and research publications through platforms such as UNEZA and GRAIL. The lab will host the Visakhapatnam Energy Summit, connecting industry leaders, startups, and experts to discuss energy innovation.
Under a Memorandum of Understanding with FluentGrid, CoEET will pilot a Smart Grid Command & Control Center using the AI-based Actiligence Grid Modernization Platform (GMP). The system will provide predictive analytics for outages, optimize transformer performance, monitor distributed energy resources, and suggest ways to strengthen networks in flood-prone areas. This will enhance resilience against extreme weather.
These initiatives aim to modernize Andhra Pradesh’s power infrastructure and speed up the state’s transition to renewable energy. They also position the region as a hub for sustainable energy innovation.
