Nara Bhuvaneswari Wins Dual Global Awards for Leadership

Nara Bhuvaneswari, Managing Trustee of NTR Trust and Managing Director of Heritage Foods Ltd., was conferred two major awards by the Institute of Directors (IOD), UK, at Mayfair Hall on Tuesday (November 4, 2025).

She received the Distinguished Fellowship 2025 Award for her exceptional contributions to public service through the NTR Memorial Trust, which runs health clinics, mobile medical camps, safe drinking water initiatives, and women empowerment programmes.

Under her leadership, Heritage Foods Ltd. also bagged the Golden Peacock Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance in the national FMCG category, reflecting strong ethical and management practices.

Ms. Bhuvaneswari dedicated the awards to her team and beneficiaries. “NTR Trust strives to be like the sea, offering its resources to everyone, and like the sun, spreading its light equally across society. Our goal is to ensure that even the most underprivileged can live with dignity and opportunity,” she said.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, present at the event, congratulated his wife and praised the IOD for 35 years of global service. Highlighting Andhra Pradesh’s growth, he noted that the state attracted $120 billion in new investments over the past year, driven by technology-led governance.

Mr. Naidu emphasised emerging technologies, citing Google’s largest AI centre in Visakhapatnam, the use of data analytics during Cyclone Montha, and 700 citizen services via WhatsApp. He reaffirmed his vision of developing Amaravati as a blue-green capital, aligned with India’s climate and sustainability goals.
