Orchid Wellness Spa Raided in Visakhapatnam Over Sexual Exploitation

Visakhapatnam City Police’s Task Force, in a joint operation with the 3rd Town police, raided a wellness centre near VIP Road on Monday, arresting two spa managers and a customer for allegedly running a prostitution racket under the guise of massage services.

The raid at Orchid Wellness & Spa Centre was carried out around 6:30 PM on November 4, following credible intelligence about illegal activities at the facility.

Two men attempting to flee were caught during the operation. They were identified as the centre’s administrators, Kalluru Pavan Kumar (36) and Jana Srinivas (35). Both reportedly admitted that, on behalf of the spa’s owners, Kasireddy Arun Kumar and Rahul, they instructed women via WhatsApp to provide sexual services to clients for money, charging around Rs 3,000 per customer.

A male customer, Cheeli Ramachandra Prasad (43), was found with a female worker during the search. Police also rescued nine women who were reportedly victimised and placed them under protection.

Authorities seized Rs 7,000 in cash and three mobile phones, including an iPhone 13, a Nothing Phone, and a Samsung device.

A case has been registered, naming the owners as accused. A manhunt is underway to apprehend them. The arrested managers and the customer remain in custody as investigations continue to uncover the full extent of the organised racket.
