Naidu launches MSME parks, pledges jobs, tech growth
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday inaugurated a Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) Park at Pedairlapadu village in Pedacherlo Palle mandal, while also virtually participating in the inauguration and foundation stone-laying of 49 other MSME parks across 17 districts of Andhra Pradesh.
The State Industries Department has rolled out 50 MSME projects across 868 acres, costing an estimated Rs 873 crore. Mr. Naidu also virtually inaugurated 1,597 MSMEs that have acquired land in these industrial parks and 38 mega industrial units across the State, with a combined investment of Rs 25,256 crore.
Speaking to industrialists via video conference, the Chief Minister assured that the government will back the youth with feasible business ideas. He noted that industrial parks are being developed in 175 constituencies on a plug-and-play basis, with all essential infrastructure including electricity, water, and roads. Mr. Naidu said the investments are coming in thanks to a favourable business climate under the coalition government.
On the upcoming CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam (November 14-15), he said the government plans to sign MoUs worth Rs 10 lakh crore, potentially generating over eight lakh jobs.
Highlighting technology-led growth, Mr. Naidu pointed to initiatives such as Quantum Computing in Amaravati, Reliance’s bioenergy projects, green hydrogen power generation, and the development of “Drone City” in Orvakal and “Space City” in Tirupati.
He also took a dig at the previous YSR Congress Party-led government for neglecting industries, citing financial losses and stalled solar power procurements that cost the State Rs 9,000 crore. The Chief Minister attributed the current investment momentum to collaborative efforts within the coalition, citing support from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and IT Minister Nara Lokesh.
