Sai Baba Inspires Devotees, Says Trust Head

Addressing a large gathering of devotees at the centenary celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba on Sunday, R. J. Rathnakar, Managing Trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, recalled the profound lessons he received from the spiritual leader. He shared instances of how Baba guided his destiny, shaping both his life and his dedication to service, and stressed the importance of promoting Baba’s work widely.

Quoting Baba, Mr. Rathnakar said, “Do we need to tell the world that there is light when the sun rises? When good is done, it shines on its own.” He also remembered a personal promise to his mother to remain at Prasanthi Nilayam and devote his life to spreading Baba’s message.

Highlighting Baba’s enduring presence, he noted that the mission continues to thrive as devotees worldwide experience his guidance and protection in their lives. Drawing on one of Baba’s teachings, Mr. Rathnakar said, “Just as bathing in the Ganga does not sanctify the river but purifies the individual, service through Sai institutions transforms the devotee more than the organisation itself.” He pointed to the commitment of 7.5 lakh members of the Sri Sathya Sai Organisation, who are engaged in continuous service activities with dedication and faith.

Concluding his address, Mr. Rathnakar thanked the dignitaries for attending despite their busy schedules, noting that their presence added special significance to the centenary celebrations.
