ENC Chief Reviews Republic Day Parade in Vizag

Vice Admiral Sanjay Bhalla, Flag Officer Commanding in Chief, Eastern Naval Command (ENC), reviewed a ceremonial parade of more than 500 naval personnel on Monday, the 77th Republic Day.

Extending Republic Day greetings, the naval commander commended the personnel for their turnout, drill, and professional standards. He appreciated the Command’s maintenance of a high operational tempo and sustained focus on combat readiness over the past year.

The Vice Admiral noted the Command’s participation in bilateral and multilateral exercises, as well as humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations. He also referred to the recent induction of six warships into the Navy and said two more vessels, Taragiri and Anjadip, are scheduled to be commissioned shortly in the Command.

Referring to major maritime events to be hosted in Visakhapatnam in February, including the International Fleet Review, MILAN, and the IONS Conclave of Chiefs 2026, he said these would reflect the Prime Minister’s vision of MAHASAGAR. He called upon personnel to put in their best efforts to showcase the Indian Navy and the country on the global stage.

The parade reflected the operational readiness of the Eastern Naval Command. After the ceremony, the Flag Officer Commanding in Chief interacted with spectators, including veterans and family members.
