Collector urges push for 100% pass results in Intermediate exams
The District Collector Vijaya Krishnan has called upon teachers to make sustained efforts to help students achieve better academic outcomes, stressing the need for focused attention on subjects where performance has been comparatively low.
A review meeting on the Intermediate annual examination results was held at the Collectorate conference hall on Thursday with principals of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs), model schools, social welfare, tribal welfare, backward classes welfare residential institutions, and government junior colleges.
The Collector congratulated institutions that secured good results while expressing concern over colleges with low pass percentages. She sought detailed explanations from officials on the reasons for the decline and reviewed the district’s performance in comparison with the previous year.
With supplementary examinations approaching for failed students, she directed officials to conduct special coaching classes to improve their chances of success. She also advised that counselling sessions be arranged to help students manage stress and build confidence after the results.
Emphasising the need to strengthen government college infrastructure in the coming academic year, she instructed teachers, principals, and education officials to work towards achieving a 100 per cent pass result target.
