Talent AP launched in Vizag to build future-ready digital workforce
The DeepTech Naipunya Foundation and APDTI Network on Saturday formally launched ‘Talent AP’ at the Infosys campus here, marking a major step towards building world-class digital talent and strengthening Andhra Pradesh’s position in the emerging technology landscape.
The initiative, spearheaded by President Suresh Narra and Chairman Sreedhar Kosaraju, is aimed at equipping the State’s workforce with advanced deep-tech skills and preparing students, professionals, and faculty members for the rapidly evolving demands of the digital economy. It also seeks to address the growing concerns over AI-driven layoffs in the technology sector by creating new opportunities through upskilling and reskilling programmes.
The project will operate as an independent, industry-driven platform with support from the Infosys Foundation. As part of the collaboration, experts from Infosys will mentor participants and lead Industry Immersion Programmes across the State, enabling institutions and learners to gain direct exposure to real-world technological practices and industry requirements.
The programme has been structured around four major pillars designed to bridge the long-standing gap between academia and industry. These include AI Ready AP, focused on making artificial intelligence learning accessible to all; the Industry Immersion Programme, aimed at upgrading faculty knowledge and teaching practices; Talent Discovery & Innovation, which will identify high-potential talent through hackathons, competitions, and innovation challenges; and the Digital Tech Credentials Council, tasked with designing industry-endorsed curricula aligned with future job markets.
Speaking on the occasion, Sreedhar Kosaraju said the initiative would create a scalable and sustainable talent pipeline driven by industry participation. He expressed confidence that ‘Talent AP’ would help transform Andhra Pradesh into a premier destination for next-generation industries and innovation-led growth.
