A.P. woos Titan Defence Group with investment assurances
In a bid to attract defence sector investment, the Andhra Pradesh government held talks on Thursday with representatives of Titan Defence Group, with BC Welfare Minister BC Janardhan Reddy assuring the company of full State support.
Titan Defence Systems Ltd Chairman and CEO K. Girikumar and other company officials met the Minister at the Secretariat, at the office of the Roads and Buildings and Infrastructure and Investment departments.
The Hyderabad-based group has expressed interest in establishing Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facilities and simulation centres at Kurnool airport, and a defence manufacturing unit in Nandyal district.
The company operates across aviation, aerospace, defence, space, mining, and trading sectors, with capabilities in production systems, training, testing, certification, upgradation, modernisation, and maintenance infrastructure development.
Janardhan Reddy said Andhra Pradesh was emerging as a major investment destination under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, adding that a “stable coalition government” had boosted investor confidence and driven up investment inflows into the State.
The Minister briefed the delegation on the State’s investment climate before assuring them of government support.
