Andhra University Launches Five-Day FDP on Linear Algebra and Differential Equations
The Department of Applied Mathematics, College of Science and Technology, Andhra University, has launched a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Emerging Applications of Linear Algebra and Differential Equations” to strengthen the academic and research capabilities of faculty members, research scholars, and postgraduate students.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. G. P. Raja Sekhar; Prof. M. V. R. Raju, Principal of the College of Science and Technology; and Prof. Y. V. S. Sanyasi Raju of the Department of Mathematics, IIT Madras, attended the inauguration, which began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony.
The FDP covers recent developments in Linear Algebra and Differential Equations, their interdisciplinary applications, computational approaches, and emerging research opportunities. Eminent academicians from premier institutions will serve as resource persons, delivering lectures, conducting technical sessions and leading interactive discussions.
Prof. M. Vijaya Santhi, Head of the Department of Applied Mathematics, is the Convener. Prof. K. Rajendra Prasad, Prof. P. Vijaya Laxmi, Dr. T. Vinutha and Dr. Madhusmita Tripathy are the Co-Conveners.
Faculty members and research scholars from various institutions are attending. The organisers said the FDP is expected to promote academic interaction, encourage research collaboration and strengthen research in applied mathematics. It will continue until September 23.
