The fifth edition of the Sandhya Marines Vizag Marathon will be held on November 29, 2026, with runners competing in four categories along the city’s scenic coastal stretch.
City Police Commissioner Shankhabrata Bagchi unveiled the official T-shirt and medal for the marathon at a programme organised by the Vizag Runners Society in Visakhapatnam on Thursday. Members of the society and representatives of sponsoring organisations attended the event.
The marathon will feature four categories: 5K, 10K, 21K and 32K, offering opportunities for both amateur and experienced runners. The route will begin at Park Hotel Junction, pass landmarks such as the Aquarium and the Ropeway, make a U-turn at Film Nagar Club and conclude at VMRDA Park.

He said the society remained committed to promoting a drug-free and environmentally conscious Visakhapatnam through the marathon. The event also aims to encourage people to make fitness an integral part of their daily lives while reinforcing the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy city, he added.
