AP Chambers to host Green India Conference on June 12
The Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry Federation (AP Chambers), in association with Exhibition Catalyst Pvt. Ltd., will organise the Green India Conference (GIC) 2026 on June 12 at SS Convention here. The event will be held as part of the three-day Green Energy India Expo 2026, scheduled from June 11 to 13 at the same venue.
AP Chambers President Potluri Bhaskara Rao said the conference is designed to provide a platform for policymakers, industry leaders, and domain experts to review Andhra Pradesh’s expanding role in the renewable energy sector. He said the State has the potential to emerge as a major destination for green investments, supported by a progressive policy environment and improving infrastructure ecosystem.
The conference will be held under the theme “Andhra Pradesh – The Gateway to India’s Green Energy Future” and will feature a series of panel discussions focusing on policy frameworks, sectoral challenges, and implementation strategies.
Sessions will examine key areas such as positioning Andhra Pradesh as a preferred destination for clean energy investments, the potential of agrivoltaics in strengthening rural livelihoods while supporting power generation, and the creation of a green workforce by equipping youth with skills required for the evolving energy sector.
Deliberations will also cover long-term priorities, including transforming the State from a net energy consumer into a green energy exporter and strengthening green grid infrastructure. A key focus will be on enabling 80 GW of evacuation capacity within 24 months to support large-scale renewable energy projects.
The conference will also deliberate on issues concerning consumers and industry stakeholders in the transition towards cleaner energy systems, including grid integration challenges, infrastructure bottlenecks, and policy coordination needs.
According to organisers, senior representatives from government and industry will participate in the discussions and share perspectives on accelerating investments, improving execution frameworks, and reinforcing Andhra Pradesh’s position in the national renewable energy landscape.
