MSMEs must benefit from industrial growth: Naidu

Naidu sets 90% satisfaction target, urges collectors to lead innovation push

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has called on district collectors in Andhra Pradesh to embrace technology-led governance, setting a target of achieving more than 90% public satisfaction across government services.

Speaking at the seventh Collectors’ Conference at the state secretariat on Thursday, Naidu urged officials to make more effective use of social media to communicate the government’s initiatives and achievements to the public.

The chief minister dedicated his recently conferred “Business Reformer of the Year” award to officials at every level of the administration, from the state government to village staff, describing it as recognition of Andhra Pradesh’s collective governance effort.

Naidu said the coalition government’s 28 policy reforms had enhanced the state’s credibility among investors in India and abroad. He said investment proposals worth ₹23 lakh crore, capable of generating employment for nearly 24 lakh people, had been cleared during 17 meetings of the State Investment Promotion Board over the past 23 months.

Highlighting the state’s industrial ambitions, he said Andhra Pradesh was positioning itself as a major player in green energy, green hydrogen, and green ammonia. He added that Visakhapatnam was emerging as a technology hub with the proposed Google data centre, while Amaravati was being developed as a “Quantum Valley”.

On revenue administration, Naidu instructed officials to complete the finalisation of revenue records by March 2027, insisting that the exercise be carried out without errors. Ministers and collectors, he said, would be assessed on the basis of their performance, while regular field visits would remain essential to monitor implementation of welfare and development programmes.

The chief minister also said the government had reduced power purchase costs by 30 paise per unit and was working towards further reductions. All government services, he added, would be shifted online by December. He also urged collectors to encourage demand-driven farming practices to improve agricultural returns.
