Naidu sets 90% satisfaction target, urges collectors to lead innovation push
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday urged district collectors to adopt technology-driven governance, targeting over 90 per cent public satisfaction in all government services. Addressing the seventh Collectors’ Conference at the Secretariat, he asked officials to use social media effectively to highlight the government’s achievements.
Mr Naidu dedicated his recently awarded “Business Reformer of the Year” honour to officials across all levels — from the state to the village — calling it a collective achievement of Andhra Pradesh’s administrative system.
The Chief Minister credited the coalition government’s 28 progressive policies with significantly strengthening the state’s credibility at national and international levels, attracting considerable investment. He said investments worth ₹23 lakh crore — with the potential to employ 24 lakh people — had been approved across 17 SIPB meetings in the past 23 months.
Mr Naidu highlighted the state’s advances in green energy, green hydrogen, and green ammonia, and noted that Visakhapatnam was emerging as a technology hub with the proposed Google data centre, while Amaravati was evolving into a “Quantum Valley”.
On revenue administration, he directed officials to finalise all revenue records by March 2027, insisting on error-free implementation. Ministers and collectors, he said, would be assessed on performance. He also stressed the need for regular field visits to evaluate government programmes on the ground.
Among further announcements, Mr Naidu said power purchase costs had been cut by 30 paise per unit, with a further reduction in the pipeline. All government services, he added, would move online by December, and collectors were urged to encourage demand-driven farming practices.
