Odisha to host All India Public Relations Conference for first time

Odisha will host the 48th All India Public Relations Conference (AIPRC-2026) for the first time in the nearly five-decade history of the national event.

Governor of Odisha, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, on Thursday, released the poster and brochure of the three-day conference at Raj Bhavan here. The event, organised by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) and hosted by its Bhubaneswar chapter, will be held from December 25 to 27.

The conference will centre on the theme “NAVAGUNJARA – Public Relations in the Age of AI”, drawing from the Navagunjara motif associated with Odisha’s cultural heritage. The theme seeks to examine how human intelligence and artificial intelligence, along with creativity, ethics, cultural understanding and empathy, can work together in a rapidly changing communication environment.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Kambhampati said Odisha’s hosting of the conference for the first time was a matter of pride. He said the theme brought together the State’s cultural heritage and the possibilities offered by artificial intelligence.

The conference is expected to bring together professionals from public relations and corporate communication, besides media practitioners, government representatives, business leaders, academicians and policymakers from across the country.

PRSI national president Ajit Pathak said the conference would examine the opportunities offered by AI while emphasising the importance of ethical and human values in public relations.

“Bhubaneswar, with its rich heritage and emerging profile as a centre of innovation, is an ideal setting for this important national dialogue,” Dr. Pathak said.

The conference will also provide participants an opportunity to experience Odisha’s art, traditions and cultural heritage.

PRSI secretary-general P.L.K. Murthy, conference convenor Sanjay Kumar Sahoo, co-convenor Krushna Chandra Mohapatra and chapter treasurer Ansuman Pattnayak were present at the event.
