Palla Srinivasa Rao slams Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy over “politics of vendetta”

Telugu Desam Party State president and Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao criticised YSR Congress Party president Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, alleging that the former Chief Minister had built his politics on “falsehood, vendetta, and calculated disruption.”

Addressing the media on Saturday, Mr. Srinivasa Rao alleged that Mr. Jagan’s periodic press conferences were intended to divert public attention from the coalition government’s welfare and development initiatives, which he said were receiving positive response across Andhra Pradesh.

Highlighting recent economic and administrative initiatives of the government, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said the State had attracted investments from companies such as Carrier Global Corporation and Royal Enfield, besides making progress in the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) ecosystem.

He also referred to the commencement of SAEL operations, the release of the State job calendar, recruitment notifications for university vacancies, and the proposed ₹1 lakh crore horticulture hub in Rayalaseema.

“At a time when Andhra Pradesh is moving decisively on the path of development, Mr. Jagan appears unable to reconcile himself to the changing political and administrative landscape,” Mr. Srinivasa Rao said.

Referring to the 2024 Assembly election results, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said the electorate had rejected “politics rooted in revenge and divisive narratives,” pointing out that the YSRCP was reduced to 11 Assembly seats.

He also questioned Mr. Jagan’s changing stand on the murder case of former Minister Y. S. Vivekananda Reddy and alleged that attempts to link the case to TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu reflected “anxiety over the eventual emergence of facts.”
