Kailasagiri Trishul Project Set to Add New Dimension to Vizag Tourism

Kailasagiri Trishul Project Emerges as Key Tourism Focus in Vizag

The Trishul project taking shape at Kailasagiri is being positioned as a significant addition to the city’s tourism offerings, with officials hoping it will draw both spiritual and leisure visitors once completed.

During an inspection on Wednesday evening, VMRDA Chairman M.V. Pranav Gopal reviewed the progress of works and urged officials to develop the site as a well-rounded public space rather than a standalone structure.

He instructed the team to enhance greenery around the 65-foot ‘Trishul and Damarukam’ installation to create a calmer, more inviting environment. He also suggested decorative lighting to improve the structure’s visibility and aesthetic appeal after sunset.

In an effort to strengthen the site’s spiritual tone, he directed officials to install a public address system that would play the “Omkara” chant at intervals. Comfortable seating arrangements for visitors were also emphasised as part of the design improvements.

Pranav Gopal asked officials to expedite remaining works and ensure readiness for the inauguration next week, alongside a coordinated publicity push to promote the site as a new attraction for the region.

VMRDA chief engineer Vinay Kumar, superintending engineer Bhavani Shankar, and other officials were present during the inspection.
