Sribharat Opens ESI Hospital, Rules Out Shift
MP M. Sribharat on Wednesday inaugurated the newly built ESI Hospital at Sheelanagar and dismissed rumours over the closure or shifting of the existing ESI Hospital at Malkapuram as “false and baseless”.
He said medical services at the Malkapuram hospital would continue for the benefit of industrial workers in the region even after the launch of the new facility at Sheelanagar.
Later, accompanied by Visakhapatnam West MLA P.G.V.R. Naidu, the MP inspected the services at the Malkapuram ESI Hospital. He lauded the doctors and staff for handling nearly 600 outpatients daily while maintaining cleanliness and discipline on the premises.
Mr. Sribharat said the hospital’s key challenges were a shortage of staff and inadequate laboratory equipment, forcing some patients to be referred elsewhere. He assured the staff that the issues would be taken up with the ESI Corporation and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for an early resolution.
