AU centenary fete: Collector reviews student arrangements

District Collector M. Abhishikt Kishore on Friday directed officials to ensure foolproof arrangements for the Andhra University centenary celebrations, with special focus on smooth transportation and the timely arrival of students at the venue.

Reviewing the preparations along with Collegiate Education Commissioner Bharat Gupta at Kodandaram Meeting Hall near Andhra University, the Collector discussed transport facilities, parking, route maps, issuance of passes, seating plans, and crowd management measures.

He instructed officials to put in place clear guidelines for students staying in university hostels, day scholars, and those coming from affiliated colleges so that they could reach the venue without inconvenience.

Mr. Kishore said detailed plans should be prepared for bus routes, parking access, movement of students to the venue, and seating arrangements. He also directed that registration be completed for all attendees and passes be issued in advance.

Stressing the need for inter-departmental coordination, he asked officials of Andhra University, police, revenue, and other departments to work in close coordination to ensure the smooth conduct of the celebrations.

Joint Collector Gobbilla Vidhyadhari, Traffic ADCP Praveen Kumar, DRDA Project Director Lakshmipathi, and university officials were present.
