Parvathipuram-Manyam Retains No.1 Spot in SSC Results for 4th Year

In a feat that is fast becoming a hallmark of academic distinction, Parvathipuram-Manyam district has retained the coveted top position in the State SSC Class 10 examinations for the fourth consecutive year, cementing its reputation as Andhra Pradesh’s most consistent academic performer.

Results declared on Thursday revealed the district had posted a stellar 96.07% pass percentage — a figure that towers over the State average of 85.25% by more than 10 percentage points.

Girls once again stole the show, registering a pass rate of 96.54% against the boys’ 95.58%. In absolute numbers, 4,882 of 5,109 boys and 5,210 of 5,397 girls successfully cleared the examination, underlining the district’s broad-based academic strength rather than performance concentrated in any one section.

The announcement triggered spontaneous celebrations across the Collectorate, education department offices, and school campuses, with teachers and officials crediting sustained, ground-level interventions for the outcome.

Central to the district’s strategy has been its signature “school adoption” programme, under which senior officials personally engage with students, track institutional performance and provide motivational inputs alongside classroom teachers — a model that officials say has transformed the culture of learning at the grassroots.

Parvathipuram-Manyam, carved out as a separate district in 2022, first climbed to the top of the State rankings in 2023 and has refused to relinquish that position in every subsequent year.

District Collector N. Prabhakar Reddy attributed the performance to structured monitoring and targeted academic interventions at the individual student level. He indicated that the administration is not resting on its laurels, with fresh measures planned for the 2026–27 academic year aimed at further improving learning outcomes and consolidating the district’s pole position.
