MJP Gurukulams Secure State Second in SSC

The Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Andhra Pradesh Backward Classes Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (MJPAPBCWREIS) — popularly known as Gurukulam schools — notched up a commendable 96.02% pass percentage in the SSC results declared on Thursday (April 30, 2026), securing second rank in the State and reaffirming their growing academic credibility.

Among the standout performers, students from the Naravada MJP school in K.V.B. Puram mandal of Tirupati district shone brightest, scoring 596 and 593 marks respectively. In a further reflection of the network’s widening reach of excellence, 30 out of 100 Gurukulam schools recorded a perfect 100% pass result.

Backward Classes Welfare Minister S. Savitha expressed her delight at the outcome, congratulating students and teaching staff across the institution. She underlined that MJP Gurukulams had secured the top position among government-run residential institutions when measured by student strength — a distinction she said made the result all the more meaningful.

The Minister credited the performance to the educational initiatives undertaken by the coalition government for the advancement of Backward Classes students, and extended her gratitude to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh on behalf of BC students and their families.

“These results are a testament to the government’s commitment to ensuring quality education reaches every BC student,” she said, signalling that the administration intends to build further on this momentum in the academic year ahead.
