Visakhapatnam MP Pitches Investment Case for AP to US NRIs

Member of Parliament M. Sribharat has urged Non-Resident Indians to seize investment opportunities in the booming Visakhapatnam region and become stakeholders in Andhra Pradesh’s ambitious economic journey.

During his recent visit to the United States, the MP attended a ‘Meet and Greet’ programme at Milpitas, California, convened under the aegis of North America Special Representative Komati Jayaram.

Pitching Visakhapatnam as the state’s growth engine, Mr Sribharat told the gathering that Andhra Pradesh is charting a steady course towards a trillion-dollar economy under the stewardship of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. He emphasised that the state has put in place competitive industrial incentives, backed by policies that prioritise speed and ease of doing business.

Citing the proactive role of Minister Nara Lokesh, he pointed out that IT majors Tata Consultancy Services and Cognizant have already commenced operations in the state, while global giants such as Google and ArcelorMittal have set the ball rolling on key projects.

The MP disclosed that the Bhogapuram International Airport is expected to be inaugurated in the first week of July, a development he said would significantly improve regional connectivity and unlock fresh investment avenues.

He further noted that Andhra Pradesh is currently attracting over 25 per cent of all investments flowing into India, making it an opportune moment for the diaspora to explore and act.

Mr Sribharat assured that NRI investors would receive full support from both the state government and his office at every step of their investment journey.
