CREDAI Visakhapatnam extends aid to Giripradakshana devotees

CREDAI Visakhapatnam distributed more than 10,000 packets of buttermilk and fruits to devotees participating in the annual Simhachalam Giripradakshana on Tuesday as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.

The association also provided free first-aid assistance along the Giripradakshana route, with volunteers distributing ORS sachets, essential medicines and pain-relief sprays to thousands of pilgrims undertaking the circumambulation of the Simhachalam hill.

Volunteers were stationed at various points along the route to provide refreshments and medical support to devotees. Several pilgrims appreciated the initiative, saying the timely assistance helped them continue and complete the arduous pilgrimage.

Kondal Rao, a pilgrim from Anakapalle, said the pain-relief spray provided by the volunteers eased his discomfort and helped him complete the circumambulation of the hill shrine.

A family from Vizianagaram said the distribution of ORS sachets and medicines reflected the organisers’ commitment to ensuring the health and well-being of devotees during the pilgrimage. “We are grateful to the volunteers for extending support and providing assistance along the route,” they said.

Office-bearers of CREDAI Visakhapatnam said the programme was organised to support devotees during the annual pilgrimage as part of the association’s CSR activities. They added that similar public service initiatives would be taken up in the future to assist people during major events.
