Lokesh accorded warm welcome in Vizag as TDP working president

TDP working president and IT, Electronics and Education Minister Nara Lokesh received a grand welcome in Visakhapatnam on Monday during his first visit to the city after assuming charge as the party’s working president. The visit generated enthusiasm among party cadres and supporters across North Andhra.

Large numbers of Telugu Desam Party workers gathered along the route from the airport to the party office to greet him with cheers, slogans and banners. The reception reflected the importance the party attached to Lokesh’s new organisational role, as well as his growing political presence in the region.

TDP State general secretary Chinthakayala Vijay and city president Chinthakayala Rajesh led the welcome arrangements. They were joined by party workers from the Narsipatnam constituency, youth leaders, student wing members and senior leaders from various districts of North Andhra.

A major highlight of the event was the participation of a large number of youth and students carrying placards that read, “Welcome Google, Thank You Lokesh.” Their presence added energy to the programme and underlined the expectations of young people in the region.

The youth thanked the minister for his efforts in bringing the Google Data Centre project to Visakhapatnam. They described the proposed investment as a major milestone that could accelerate the city’s emergence as a technology hub while creating new employment opportunities for local talent.

Party leaders said the project would strengthen Visakhapatnam’s image as an investment destination and encourage more global technology companies to consider the city for future ventures.
