SRM University-AP Introduces AI-Integrated PG Programmes

Vice-Chancellor of SRM University-AP Ch. Satish Kumar on Wednesday said the future belongs to students who combine domain knowledge with artificial intelligence skills.

Speaking after the launch of the AI-integrated M.Sc. Economics and M.Sc. Psychology programmes by the Easwari School of Liberal Arts (ESLA), he said, subject knowledge alone is no longer enough. Students must also learn to use AI tools for analysis, forecasting, and decision-making.

He said the university is among the first to introduce such integration in postgraduate education to prepare students for industry needs and future challenges.

The programmes will equip students with analytical, research, and practical skills through interdisciplinary learning, hands-on training, and AI-enabled coursework. Scholarships and fee concessions of up to 100 per cent will be offered to eligible candidates.

Dean of ESLA Vishnupad said AI has been embedded into the curriculum to strengthen disciplinary learning.

Assistant Professor B. Srujana said the M.Sc. The economics programme combines economic theory with AI-driven tools, policy frameworks, data science, and computational methods.

Assistant Professor and Head of Psychology, Ayesha Parveen Haroon, said the M.Sc. The psychology programme is research-intensive and blends psychological science with AI applications in mental health, organisational, and educational fields.

Director (Admissions) Y. Siva Sankar, Associate Dean Vandana Swami, Professor Parag Jayant Waknis, Ubaid Mushtaq, Pankaj Belwariar, and others were present.
