AP ministers begin Singapore study tour for Vision 2047

A six-member team of Andhra Pradesh ministers, led by Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana, began a week-long visit to Singapore under the Swarna Andhra Vision 2047 programme.

Mr. Narayana left for Singapore on Monday. Meanwhile, the other five ministers arrived on Tuesday, and members of the Telugu Association welcomed them.

The delegation includes Agriculture Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu, Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha, Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav, Revenue Minister Anagani Satya Prasad, and Roads and Buildings Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy.

The ministers will stay in Singapore from April 21 to April 27. During the visit, they will study governance systems, urban planning, public services, and infrastructure models.

Singapore is known worldwide for efficient administration and modern city development. Therefore, the state government wants to learn from its successful model.

Officials said the visit supports Andhra Pradesh’s plan to improve governance and adopt global best practices. In addition, the team will review policy systems and management methods useful for the state.

The delegation will also join a Training of Trainers programme under the Singapore-AP Joint Institute for World Class agreement. The Singapore government and the World Bank are organising the programme.

The training will focus on leadership, accountability, governance reforms, and the Nation First approach. As a result, officials expect faster development and better governance in Andhra Pradesh.
